18-26, single, and without kids. A student or recently graduated from secondary school education.

200+ hours childcare experience

You've babysat, nannied, or worked with kids before. 

Commitment

You're ready to spend a year abroad (or more).

Driver's license

You'll need one (or be able to get one before arrival). 

English level

Ability to hold a simple conversation in English.

Here's how this actually works 

Step 1

Join an info session

Schedule an in-person or online session to learn more about the program.

Step 2

Complete your profile

Download the app. Tell us about yourself, your childcare experience, and why you want to do this.

Step 3

Complete an interview with our staff

We will assess English proficiency, motivation, and childcare experience.

Step 4

Connect and match with a family

During an in-app video call, you'll get to know each other and ask questions. Make sure it feels right. You both decide if it's a match.

Step 5

Prepare and travel

Apply for your J-1 visa from the US Embassy and prepare for an adventure of a lifetime.

Step 6

Your au pair journey begins
